Christopher James Geier
CHRISTOPHER J. GEIER, was born in Nurnberg, Germany, on January 5, 1973. As his father was a career United States Army Officer, Mr. Geier grew up all across the United States and Europe.
In 1995, Mr. Geier graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and he was an officer in his fraternity, Psi Upsilon.
In May 2002, Mr. Geier graduated from Gonzaga University's School of Law in Spokane, Washington. During his years at Gonzaga, Mr. Geier clerked for a busy insurance defense litigation firm and he was elected President of the Connelly Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta.
Two months after passing the Washington State Bar Examination, Mr. Geier joined the United States Army, working as a lawyer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.
After completing his Basic Course, Mr. Geier was stationed in Fort Stewart, Georgia with the 3rd Infantry Division. Mr. Geier spent his first year in the JAG Corps drafting wills and providing general legal advice to Soldiers and their family members.
Mr. Geier was later stationed at Hunter Army Airfield, in Savannah, Georgia, where he served as the prosecutor and general counsel for the Garrison Commander and as the Officer-in-Charge of Hunter's Legal Office. Mr. Geier was also appointed as a Special Assistant to the United States Attorney.
In June of 2005, Mr. Geier became the prosecuting attorney for the 3rd Infantry Division's Aviation Brigade and he deployed to Camp Taji, Iraq. After returning with the Division in 2006, Mr. Geier was appointed to serve as the general counsel for the Aviation Brigade Commander.
After passing the South Carolina Bar Examination, Mr. Geier moved to Beaufort County in 2007. He spent three years in Bluffton, South Carolina with a well-established firm, focusing on criminal defense, driving under the influence cases and general civil litigation.
In 2010, Mr. Geier opened his own law practice, in Beaufort, South Carolina. Mr. Geier remains an active member of the South Carolina and Washington State Bar Associations. He resides in Beaufort with his wife Amy, their two sons Riley and Carson, and their black lab, June Bug.
